Concrete Done Right
Concrete work for Long Beach homes — driveways, walkways, patio slabs, garage and shed pads, footings, and curbs. Formed, reinforced, poured, and finished by crews who do concrete every week. Broom, smooth, stamped, or colored finishes available.
How We Work
Site walk, design, permit, build. One crew chief from start to cleanup.
1. Design and prep
We walk the area, talk through finish (broom, smooth, stamped), and design the slope so water drains where you want it.
2. Form and reinforce
Excavation, sub-base compaction, forming, and rebar or mesh reinforcement. The prep is what determines whether the slab cracks or lasts.
3. Pour and finish
Concrete poured, screeded, floated, and finished to the spec. Control joints cut, cured properly, and final cleanup.
When You Need Concrete
New concrete is the right call when:
- The driveway is cracked or sunken — tear-out and pour replaces it with decades of fresh service.
- You’re widening the driveway — adding a strip for an extra car or RV pad.
- You need a slab for a shed or ADU — properly poured and reinforced foundation pad.
- The walkway is uneven or trip-hazardous — pour fresh path or stepping pad to fix it once.
- You want stamped or colored concrete — decorative finishes for patios, driveways, or pool decks.
- You’re building an outdoor kitchen or BBQ — needs a properly engineered concrete slab underneath.

What Affects the Cost of Concrete
Concrete pricing is per square foot plus thickness and finish. Depends on:
- Square footage and thickness. Driveways need thicker slabs (and more rebar) than walkways.
- Finish. Broom finish is standard. Smooth, stamped, colored, or exposed-aggregate finishes are progressively more.
- Demo. Removing and hauling out existing concrete adds to the cost.
- Reinforcement. Rebar grid, fiber mesh, or post-tension cable depending on use.
- Sub-base prep. Compaction, gravel base, and grading determine whether the slab cracks.
- Access. Pump truck vs. wheelbarrow access changes labor time significantly.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does a concrete driveway take?
Tear-out and re-pour of a standard driveway is 5–10 days including cure time before you can drive on it.
When can I walk or drive on new concrete?
Walk: 24–48 hours. Drive: 7 days for cars, 14+ days for heavy vehicles. We cure properly so it gets full strength.
Will the concrete crack?
All concrete develops hairline shrinkage cracks; that’s normal. Structural cracking comes from bad sub-base, missing rebar, or no control joints — we don’t cut those corners.
Can you do stamped or colored concrete?
Yes — slate, ashlar, cobblestone, wood-plank, and custom stamp patterns. Integral color or stain finishes. Bring photos and we’ll match the look.
Do I need a permit?
Replacing a driveway or slab in-kind usually does not. New driveways, slope changes, or work in the public right-of-way do. We handle permits when required.
